I am a American living in Saigon, Vietnam. I am having a great time here and I want to share what life is like here now. I think many people know about Vietnam due to the Vietnam American war, but that was a long time ago and things now are very different. I hope to give people an idea of what has changed, and what has stayed the same.
I live on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh (think of it as the suburbs) so I get a very different flavor of the life here than many of the tourists and expats who haunt the city center; out here things are slower and much less Westernized.
